Competition for offshore Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production

In March 27, 2009, the Ministry of Economics has announced a licensing competition for exploration and production in the licence area, which is located in the Latvian offshore area (E23 structure). See Annoucement.

Application for the competition must be submitted within 90 days after the competition was published.

The applications must be submitted to the Ministry of Economics, 55 Brivibas Street, LV-1519, Latvia.

The Statute of the Licensing Competition is obtainable from the Ministry of Economics. The price of the Statute is 350.00 LVL .

E & P licensing area approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on September 21, 2007.

The HC E & P licence area (899 km²) was determined in the south-western part of the Latvian Exclusive Economic Zone (see the map of the E & P licensing area) with the following ellipsoid (geographic) coordinates in the WGS-84 system:
