m

walk to the falls - it is worth going there!
Location:
Riga district, Sigulda municipality (not town), to the north-east from Sigulda
town. Upper reaches of Dauda river. One should turn to the left at the sign
when driving from Sigulda to Nurmizi village.
Description:
The most significant waterfall in Gauja National Park - although Ierikupite
falls are good competitors.
Water falls over sandstones. The upper part of sandstone contains much
dolostone, and is more hardy - this causes the waterfall to form.
