Ierikupite waterfalls
DISTINGUISHED CASCADE OF WATERFALLS
You can discuss whether development of wooden pathways to these waterfalls has taken away
the primeval magic - but here we should remember that for centuries in Ierikupite
valley people have been active - there was existing mill. And besides -
now everyone can look at waterfalls - even those who are afraid of ticks,
bushes and dirt.
The beauty of these waterfalls is spoiled by the pollution of Ierikupite
river - nearer to the highway, at the highest waterfall you can even smell
it.
But you should not fear of these remarks - these waterfalls definitely deserve
to be visited!
Gruba (Ierikupite) first falls ***

Accessibility: Very simple - just leave the car (if you
have got it) near the pub and go down to the falls using the wooden pathway
Description: Waterfall earlier has been reinforced -
so it could be considered as partly artificial. Still I included it in
the list of most impressive waterfalls.

Description:
Onbe of the most beautiful Latvian waterfalls, it is worth to see it during
any season.
Below this waterfall there is popular place for photographing with nickname
"Titanic". Nearby from the cliffs are seeping small springs which
contain iron - this causes to settle there bright orange sediments.
